$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install gnumeric 

gnumeric is installed in your system.

Make ensure the gnumeric package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnumeric *

You will get with gnumeric package name, version, architecture and description in a table

gnumeric package basic information:
